I just made this cake for my mother’s birthday. It was fabulous! I cut each round cake into two, so it had four layers, and put chocolate pudding between them. Then, I put icing between the two cakes and one top. Had to make an almost double batch of icing. I already had a request from my 3 year old sister (who doesn’t usually like cake) to make it for her birthday next month Thanks for the great recipe!

I just want to say thank you for the wonderful recipe! I made this cake this year for Thanksgiving and my family absolutely loved it. People were going back for seconds and thirds. This was the first cake I ever made from scratch and I was very nervous about it not coming out well but it was delicious. I’m sure I’ll be making it again for our next special occasion.

Oh my goodness! I have never tasted such a rich cake! My daughter and I just made this and it is incredible. We just made 1 layer because it’s just the four of us. I am serving it with whipped cream and lots of milk.
