We serve gingersnaps and dip for the kids on Thanksgiving – they love it! Our recipe includes pumpkin, though. It’s the same concept, I guess, but with canned pumpkin. It’s a favorite! I’ve also tried a recipe that calls for pumpkin butter (you can generally find it in nicer grocery stores this time of year) and marshmallow fluff (and cream cheese). It’s very good, too. I’ll have to try yours and do a triple taste test!!

Thanks for the recipe!

Hey Sandie..we both love the flavours of gingerbread. It just evokes comfort for me because I always remember my dad enjoying making gingersnaps…and of course I loved to them filled with ginger flavoured whipped cream. Here is alink from Canadian Living magazine I received today for Gingerbread Truffles…so I thought of you.

Val – I know…this dip is seriously addictive.

Mary – Those versions sound wonderful too! I hope you enjoy this recipe as well, but a triple taste test sounds good to me. (Can I volunteer to participate?) I’m intrigued by your recipe that uses pumpkin butter & marshmallow fluff—sounds decadent!

Noble Pig – Fortunately this dip is just rich and satisfying enough that you won’t eat the whole bowl. I’ve managed to control myself on numerous occasions.

Val – Gingerbread Truffles?! I love it—thanks so much for this link! :-)

Mental P Mama – Do try this dip—I can think of nothing easier and more delicious, and perfect to set out for all your holiday (& wintertime) gatherings.

Mellisa – lol…you sound like Noble Pig! It won’t take a whole bowl to satisfy you though—a little goes a long way!

Lydia – Never had Gingersnap Dip? I’m thrilled I got to introduce you to a new flavor! Yes Virginia, there are fabulous, sweet cookie dips. May I suggest trying it on fresh apple slices as well…serious yum factor there.

Lore – They do combine surprisingly well…

Sarah – Wow—instant feedback. I’m so glad you liked this dip! (It’s ridiculously easy and good, isn’t it?!)

Mike – Yay (love blowing minds, in a good way of course)… Now let’s see if I can predict the future—you are going to LOVE this dip! (Do I have a career as a psychic before me? ;-) Be sure to let me know!)

all right, i’ll be frank–my cookie would have about four times that much dip on it. and i’d eat about 20 of ‘em. simply irresistible. :)

Way way late to this gingersnap dip party (just discovered this through Tastespotting) =(

But sounds delicious … and i’m wondering if anyone has dipped it in anything else? I’m thinking sliced apples/pears and also as a topping for a sweet dough bagel?

I served this dip with cookies, but yes, you can dip other foods as well: fresh pear or apple slices would be great!
