This is mouth-watering!
Monte Cristo Delight is so right!!! Loved that sandwich for years now here is a delight for having it again. Am going to get the ingridents now so I can fix it NOW!! Thanks… This is a definite must make imediately if not sooner. and with that Apple Cranberry Crumble ohhhh yesssss….
My entire family would kill for those!!
I’ve never had a true Monte Cristo, because I don’t eat ham, but I make a mock one with all smoked turkey. I love the raspberry jam in this — not traditional, but especially with the turkey I think it would be delicious.
I would love to try this Sandie…and the fact that it is lighter makes it all the more appealing.
sometimes one must unhinge her jaw in order to enjoy a piece of food and this is a creation for which i’d willing do so.
The sweet from the jam and salty from the meats sound like a winning combo to me!
If I could eat a pic off my monitor I would eat that sammy right now- My god that looks good-I’m drooling……
I love Mondays when I have something good happening during the week. For example, this semester I love Mondays because I actually look forward to seeing my students. I even miss them now b/c we’re on Spring Break. This is not normal haha.
Anyway, that Monte Cristo looks amazing. That is one of my favorite, yet least eaten sandwich. I must save this recipe and use it in the near future.
Sweet mother of pearl, Sandie! That sandwich looks amazing. Come on over and bring me one . . . it’s finally spring in NY!!
Cherine – Thank you. Always good when a photo & recipe can make your mouth water!
Micky – Aren’t Monte Cristo sandwiches good?! Hope you enjoy this version!
Mental P Mama – Your family doesn’t have to kill for them
just surprise them some weekend—they’ll be eternally grateful
Lydia – I can assure you the turkey & raspberry jam combo is impressive (I think the jam is what makes this sandwich).
Val – Lighter makes it even more difficult to stop at one serving: a true dieting conundrum!
Grace – “Unhinge her jaw.” Now there’s a mental image I won’t soon forget
Dawn – It is! At least to me. And you. (Who doesn’t like sweet & salty?)
Tupper Cooks – Thank you! And I agree—there are times I wish I could reach through my monitor too and grab a bite to eat.
Memoria – Missing your students over spring break? Aww…that is something you don’t hear many teachers saying these days. Good for you! I hope you do try this Monte Cristo recipe soon—it’s a winner!
Sandy – Finally spring in NY, huh? We started to have spring here in Kansas City…but it quickly evaporated. Now it feels more like late fall/early winter again. Not to sound like a baby, but, “I want spring back!”
Tell me about Monte Cristo. I am missing it now! And missing my France trip at the same time.
That is one mighty sandwich! great photos too!
This recipe and photo makes my stomach growl! Yummy!
Waw, what tasty filled sanwiches!!
Looks very interesting & so superb even!!
Now, I would like to bite right in them,….mmmmmm!
This looks heavenly! My mouth is watering!
Nice looking sandwich! I like the sweetness of the raspberry jam in there.
