Why not have your cake and eat it too with this easy-to-make Sunburst Morning Cocktail: it’s fast, gorgeous, and deceptively simple; requiring only 2 ingredients plus ice.

Perfect for brightening even the grayest of mornings, this Sunburst Morning Cocktail is ideal for serving guests, family or friends, particularly during the upcoming holiday season when time is at a premium.

But don’t think you have to reserve this dazzling beverage for special occasions—it’s so tasty and fun, feel free to indulge whenever you want to add a touch of sparkle and shine to any breakfast or brunch!

Sunrise Morning Cocktail

(recipe adapted from Taste of Home’s Holiday & Celebrations Cookbook, 2002)

  • 4 tablespoons grenadine
  • 4 cups orange juice
  • crushed ice

Add ice to 4 glasses. Pour 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup over ice in each glass. Slowly add 1 cup orange juice. Stir only if desired (drinks in this photo were not stirred). Yields: 4 servings.
